Räume sind keine Selbstverständlichkeit.
Sie bilden aufgrund ihrer eigenen Begrenzung eine weitere Haut, die sowohl Geborgenheit und Schutz als auch Kontaktfläche für das Umliegende darstellt. Damit stehen diese Räume in einer analogen Fortsetzung zu einem selbst.
Bei dem Aufenthalt in der Telpost stand in diesem Jahr die Reproduktion und Separierung einzelner raumbegrenzender Elemente im Vordergrund. Daraus folgend: die Bildung neuer Zusammenfügungen durch flexible Verbindungen und somit die Schaffung neu angedachter Raumsituationen hervorgehend aus dem vorgegebenen Raum.
Rooms are not a matter of course.
Due to their own limitations, they form another skin that represents both security and protection as well as a contact surface for the surrounding. In this way, these rooms stand in an analogous continuation to oneself.
This year’s residency at Telpost focused on the reproduction and separation of individual elements from the rooms. The result: the formation of new assemblies through flexible connections and the creation of newly conceived spatial situations emerging from the given room.
